Utility Forestry

At Plank Road Forestry, we work with some of the nations leading utility companies to help maintain reliable service and minimize power outages.  By taking a proactive approach to hazard tree identification, we are able to mark and remove most vegetation threats to power lines before they become a problem.

As a consulting utility forester, we collect data in an accurate and cost effective way and communicate this information to the utility companies that we partner with.  In addition, we serve as a liaison to the landowner and can explain to them when and why a tree may need to be removed due to safety reasons.

Many of our consulting utility foresters have specialized certifications including, ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, TRAQ ,and CTSP.  They bring a detailed knowledge of tree species and what to look for when identifying potential hazards.  Our attention to detail allows us to provide the highest quality data which in turn, makes for the most cost effective removal of vegetation around power lines.

Our team members also provide services such as work planning, quality control, and management and oversight of tree removals and pruning operations.
